Economics majors at CUA are now officially STEM!
Exciting Department Updates!
As of August 2021, our three undergraduate economics majors (Economics B.A., Economics B.S., and International Economics and Finance-Honors B.S.) are now officially STEM majors in the US Government records. Students who graduate with a STEM degree are coveted by employers because they recognize that STEM-educated students have developed a multidisciplinary skill set valuable to the workforce.
This also means that international students in our economics programs can have a working permit after graduation (OPT) of 3 years instead of 1, as is the case for engineering degrees.
This change make economics programs at CUA more competitive!
