IED Faculty research concentrate on initiatives around real human needs for which rigorous policy-relevant research is urgently needed. 

Each initiative seeks to identify solutions to current gaps in knowledge; to contribute by generating cutting-edge research; and to assist policy design by sharing results and by help design the scale up effective and sustainable programs.
